Knox Presbyterian Church is a Christian worshiping community in Alliston, ON. On Sunday mornings, we praise God through song and prayer, we learn about God through reading the Bible and hearing a message of hope and grace, and we encourage and build each other up as a family of faith.
We are a come-as-you-are congregation, some people dress casually and some people dress up a bit. It’s up to you. Worship lasts about an hour and afterward everyone is invited downstairs for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
The sacrament of Communion is celebrated 5 times a year, in February, Easter Season, June, October, and the first Sunday of Advent in December. Just as God’s grace is for all, the invitation to the Lord ’s Table is for all, including children.
As part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, our congregation is governed by our Minister, the Teaching Elder, and our Session, a group of Leading Elders who are entrusted to carry out different ministries within the church. Currently, we have 10 Elders on Session.
